Anna Claire Guice Hinson, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and retired teacher, has recreated a doll that was made for her by her piano teacher’s mother in the 1940s.

Years went by without finding someone to make a doll like hers for her daughters. Finally, after grandchildren began arriving, she decided to do it herself. Many patterns and dolls were made before the correct look and size were achieved. Each child, large and small, has received a doll that reflects his or her personality.

Like people, there are no two dolls alike. The clothing consists of a dress, slip, pantaloons, stockings, and shoes. All are handcrafted.
